Dear Friends,
The Mid Cambridgeshire Mission partnership is now formally established in a wonderful service of praise, prayer and teaching which also included my induction. It was an uplifting, inspiring joyful service led by our Moderator Revd Lythan Nevard. My thanks to everyone who took part and everyone who worked behind the scenes to ensure the day went smoothly. We enjoyed fellowship and food as well as worship.
Brian, the preacher left us with a challenge as we begin a new journey together, the three single URC congregations and the 4 LEP congregations – how to shine God’s light and grow God’s kingdom in our communities and across the partnership area using our common clay pots filled with God’s resources to build and grow from.
Where do we go from here, there is a steering group for the partnership with representatives from all the congregations and we will meet to take forward the vision of enjoying fellowship, learning with and from each other, developing our discipleship and sharing resources. If you have any ideas/thoughts please share them with me or Jenny.
Finally, as we are now in Lent, how is your Lenten discipline going? Whether you have given something up, taken on something new; or both? I hope that it has helped you to grow in faith and inspired your day to day life and service.
